In 2010, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ was founded in Rasht, the capital of Gilan Province, near the Caspian Sea in Iran, by Brother Luke Ryan, a devoted servant of Christ, anointed as both a pastor and a teacher of the Word.

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is completely independent, with no affiliation to  any denomination, organization, institution, or government entity.Those in priestly roles within this church must, beyond receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit essential for any such ministry—also be anointed by the Spirit, with their calling confirmed through divine signs and heavenly testimony.

Brother Luke Ryan, from his initial understanding of the Scriptures, recognized that the true Church can only bear the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Any name other than His marks the beginning of deviation from the true Church. Furthermore, he believed, in accordance with Scripture, that there are two essential qualifications for holding a priestly office within the Church (whether as an apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, evangelist, or preacher): first, baptism in the Holy Spirit, and second, the anointing for ministry—both of which are granted through a supernatural event. As he found neither of these conditions in the church he had been part of, he chose to leave that fellowship.

His early activities were carried out outside the structure of church organizations, with the intent to intellectually nurture Christian believers through the truth of biblical teachings. Without affiliating with any particular church, he took the initiative to independently collect and organize valuable Christian books and resources, preparing them into a well-structured library to be made available to Christians seeking these materials. Over time, the impact of his library extended beyond the borders of Iran.

It must be said that he was taught by no church or theological institution; rather, from the outset of his faith, his instruction came directly—and in a most extraordinary way—through the Holy Spirit.

He believed that the Christian faith must be built upon a correct and complete understanding of Scripture, and he did not accept anyone unless they had heard the full truth and made a confession of it. As a result, all members of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ heard the Gospel message directly from him. To achieve this, he dedicated hours to each individual, revealing the full truth to them.

Years later, as his library collection and the reputation of his powerful biblical teachings spread, many came to him to hear the Word of God. This led to the establishment of regular teaching sessions throughout the week. Over time, the growing number of believers and the richness of the teachings brought them together, forming the community known as the Church of the Lord Jesus.

After years of activity, in 2016, coinciding with the day of Pentecost, he went with a group of believers to a mountainous area for worship. God manifested Himself in the Shekinah glory, both as a cloud and a pillar of fire, along with other miraculous signs, such as a wind blowing without moving a single leaf from the trees (many of those present bore witness to them). In the midst of the gathering, God anointed him, pouring His anointing over his head. Through the prophetic spirit that came upon one of those present, God introduced him as His anointed apostle, pastor, and teacher—one who receives His teachings directly.

Despite the Church’s prominence and the extensive scope of its activities, it has consistently remained free from media sensationalism. Even during the persecution by Iranian authorities, when the pastor and members were arrested, the Church ensured their names were not used for non-biblical purposes or exploited by the media. The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, from its foundation, has remained steadfast in upholding the teachings of the Holy Scriptures based on apostolic doctrine. In addition, it is a spiritually nurtured and fervent community, deeply committed to prayer and fasting. Guided by the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit, manifested through the pillar of fire and the Shekinah glory, it continues to witness powerful testimonies of miracles and divine healings.

The main goals of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ can be briefly outlined as follows:

• To proclaim the Gospel and establish the Church;

• To instruct and nurture believers in alignment with sound biblical doctrine;

• To cultivate love and peace, while avoiding all forms of conflict and division;

• To prepare the Church for a deeper communion with the Holy Spirit;

• To anticipate the return of Christ.

In accordance with these principles, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ refrains from engaging in any political, partisan, or nationalistic activities. It respects all races and nations, seeking peaceful coexistence with people of all beliefs and faiths. The Church focuses solely on the training of believers and the revival of biblical teachings, without seeking public attention, promoting itself, or becoming involved in national or sectarian conflicts.

The vital and foundational ministries of the Church include:

• Evangelism and the proclamation of the Good News of the Gospel;
• Planting churches and the observance of Christian ceremonies and traditions;
• Organizing Biblical teaching classes and nurturing Bible-based discipleship;
• Nurturing spiritually mature believers through the Word of God, in fellowship, and by the power of the Holy Spirit;
• Establishing the Publishing Department of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is not an exaggeration to say that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ bears no resemblance to modern ecclesiastical institutions.
